Mod Preorder Update December 2022

Hey everyone, it's been a little while since our last posted update. I know I've spoken with many of you individually but I wanted to update everyone at once on where we are.

In our last update we announced we were doing a second revision chipset. We have received this chipset, and for the first time we have powered on and functional chipsets in the final version Control Tower. Function wise, everything is looking great on these, but the engineers are currently working on power spiking in the Texas Instruments chip. What this translates to in use is that the board is outputting power, but not as much as it should. On the whole we're thrilled to have a working board, but it's an issue that does need to be addressed, so it's going to mean us doing a third revision. Fabricating this will push everything back by at least a couple months realistically. We have already started work on this and will update again when there's progress here.

I know it's a big disappointment for everyone that hoped for the mod by Christmas, and we totally understand the customers that are just tired of waiting (I am too!) but it's worth pointing out that our determination to finish these mods has not changed. We will finish the Control Towers as quickly as we can in a way we're happy with, period. We truly appreciate all of you that have chosen to stick by us through this, but we also understand those that wish to revisit the Control Tower once it is released. I want to reiterate to everyone that you can cancel for a refund at any time. We know none of us foresaw these delays, so we don't give anyone a hard time about canceling their preorder. If you wish to cancel your preorder, contact us via the site chat or email.

We will of course continue to update everyone as soon as anything important happens.

If you have any other questions or issues with your preorder, please contact us on the site chat and I'd be happy to help.

Although I wish I had better news to share, nevertheless I hope you all have a  happy Holidays and a great New Year. Stay safe!
